About
Dr. Daniel Gonzalez has 25 years of experience in early childhood education. He has a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum, Teaching, Learning, and Leadership from Northeastern University. He currently works for Neighborhood Villages, an early education think tank. Dr. Gonzalez lives just outside of Boston with his partner, Tim, and their dogs, Bella and Harry. Daniel released his first book, The Rise and Fall of Boston Pride, in June 2025.
Daniel researches the LGBTQ+ history of Boston in his spare time. He is currently researching a book on how the Pride movement in Boston led to two distinct organizations, GLAD and NAMBLA. Each having wildly different reasons for being, the group that helped start Pride in Boston split in half.
Daniel is also writing a television pilot set in 1970s gay Boston's Combat Zone, the first red-light district in the United States.
